About this site

Welcome to my web page. I've had this up since April 2001, just because I like having a place online to put writing, links and photos. More and more I'm realizing that instead of my web page being about what I want to show other people, I use it as a way to store things that I want to remember.

This entire site was created by hand on pico and Emacs. There are a few reasons for this: because I wanted to learn html, because I've been too lazy to find an html generator that doesn't suck, but mostly because this way I can remote log in via secure shell from any computer with internet access and edit my site with no hassle. Plus I like having total control over the structure of my html. I've tried to make this site as general as possible, so that it will be readable on any browser (my browser of choice is Opera).

Older content

Content gets edited and deleted whenever. If you ever want to see something again that I've taken off, just let me know. I have the site on version control so I may be able to pull old versions back up.
